Capturing What Words Cannot Say
Kristina Lazovic – Behind the Lens: My Journey into the World of Photography
Today we are delighted to introduce Kristina Lazovic, known artistically as K.Artistic – a photographer whose path into the world of art has been anything but conventional. With a degree in marketing and more than fifteen years of professional experience, she built a successful career in communication before fully dedicating herself to photography. Her work reflects an authentic passion for storytelling, emotion, and the exploration of human depth.

How did your journey with photography begin?
Photography has always been my first love, Kristina says. Even during my marketing studies, the camera was never far from me. Through photography, I found a language that allowed me to express what words could not capture. Each frame feels like a new beginning – a chance to explore creativity without limits.
What inspires and drives your artistic vision, particularly when you work on social themes?
My inspiration comes from people and from everyday life – from emotions, food, culture, and human connection. I’m drawn to projects that touch on social and emotional realities. Two that are especially close to my heart are Identity Fusion and Unspoken Messages.
Identity Fusion explores the many layers of human nature through the interplay of identities. Each portrait reveals the beauty of contrasts – strength and vulnerability, stillness and motion, tenderness and determination. These images remind us that within every person there are countless inner rooms, each holding its own story, emotion, and rhythm.

Unspoken Messages grew from a desire to give voice to feelings that are often silenced. I invited participants to share their inner monologues anonymously, then transformed those thoughts into visual stories. The project underscores the power of empathy and the need to listen, especially when it comes to emotions that remain unseen or unheard.
What does your creative process look like?
My studio is my sanctuary. It’s where I feel calm and completely myself. In that quiet space, everything comes together naturally – the light, the atmosphere, the subject. Every photograph is built with intention, patience, and care. It’s a slow process that allows honesty to emerge.
You divide your time between Switzerland and Serbia. How do these two worlds influence your creativity?
Living between Zug and Belgrade gives me balance and contrast at the same time. Switzerland offers structure and clarity, while Serbia brings emotion and warmth. Each environment influences the way I see and feel the world. That duality constantly renews my creative energy and gives my work its rhythm.
Thank you, Kristina, for sharing your story and vision with us. Your photographs invite viewers to look beyond the surface – to feel, to reflect, and to connect.
