TERMS OF PARTICIPATION FOR THE PRINT AND DIGITAL ISSUE
(Open Call – Print & Digital Issue)
Please read these terms carefully before submitting your works.
1. Submission of Application
1.1. The application must be submitted by an adult artist aged 18 or older.
1.2. The application is free of charge. The editorial team will contact only the artists whose works are selected.
1.3. Once participation is confirmed, the author must submit the required material in accordance with the technical guidelines provided by the editorial team.
2. Selection and Editing
2.1. The editorial team independently selects the works. The selection decision is final.
2.2. The editorial team may edit texts and adjust titles, descriptions, translations, layouts, and design elements in line with the magazine’s style and standards.
2.3. The editorial team reserves the right to reject any material that violates laws, ethical standards, or editorial policies.
2.4. After the editorial team prepares the text, it is sent to the author for review and approval. The author has seven days to confirm or request corrections. If no response is received within that period, the content will be considered approved for publication.
3. Publication, Languages, and Distribution
3.1. The print edition of Artistic Hub Magazine is published in English. The digital edition is available in English and German.
3.2. Publications on our online platform are available in three languages – English, German, and Serbian – and are accessible only to subscribers of the Artistic Hub Magazine portal.
3.3. The digital edition is available to subscribers through official digital platforms and our portal.
3.4. The print edition is produced in a limited circulation and distributed at international airports, railway stations, hotels, restaurants, and lifestyle venues across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, as well as through selected online shops.
3.5. Participation does not include a complimentary print copy. Participating artists are entitled to a 30% discount when purchasing their copy through our online shop.
3.6. Participants are also entitled to a discount on their first annual subscription to the digital editions on our portal, at a price of 20 CHF instead of 35 CHF.
4. Copyright and Licensing
4.1. The author guarantees full ownership of the copyright to the submitted works and texts, confirming that the material does not infringe upon third-party rights, trademarks, privacy, or other personal rights.
4.2. If the work includes identifiable individuals, locations, or works by third parties, the author confirms possession of all necessary permissions and assumes full responsibility for their accuracy.
4.3. The author confirms that the work was not created entirely using artificial intelligence tools and does not contain plagiarized elements.
4.4. The author grants the magazine a non-exclusive, transferable, and global right to publish the work and accompanying texts in both print and digital editions, to display them on the portal, and to use excerpts of visuals or texts for the magazine’s promotional purposes (website, newsletter, social media), with proper credit to the author. The author’s moral rights remain fully protected.
5. Content Protection and Sharing Restrictions
5.1. A full PDF version of the print or digital edition does not exist and is never publicly shared.
5.2. Each author receives a PDF document containing only their pages and separate image files of those pages for personal use and promotion.
6. Texts and Translations
6.1. The editorial team professionally prepares, edits, and proofreads all texts.
6.2. Translations into English and German are provided by the editorial team. The author may be asked to verify biographical or factual details when necessary.
7. Fees and Payment
7.1. Participation fees apply only to authors whose works have been selected.
7.2. Participation fees are as follows:

7.3. Optional additional promotion of the published article on the magazine’s official Instagram and LinkedIn accounts is available for 20 CHF.
7.4. The author is informed of the price before confirming participation. The payment is non-refundable, as it covers the costs of preparation, translation, design, printing, digital publication, and distribution.
8. Withdrawal by the Artist After Selection
8.1. The artist may withdraw the application at any time during the selection process without any obligations.
8.2. Once the artist confirms participation and completes payment, it is considered that they agree with publication and the preparation process.
8.3. If the artist later withdraws from publication, the payment remains non-refundable as it covers the costs already incurred.
8.4. If the artist withdraws consent after the material has entered production or print, the editorial team reserves the right to proceed with publication unless a valid legal reason exists, such as a rights violation.
8.5. The editorial team is not obliged to postpone or withdraw an issue due to an individual artist’s withdrawal after confirming participation.
9. Credits
9.1. The editorial team lists the author’s name and any provided credits in accordance with available space and the visual standards of the publication.
10. Author’s Responsibility
10.1. The author is responsible for the accuracy of all submitted information and content.
10.2. The author accepts full responsibility for any third-party claims arising from rights violations and agrees to compensate the magazine for any resulting damages, costs, or liabilities.
11. Delays and Force Majeure
11.1. The magazine may modify publication dates, layout, or scope in case of technical difficulties, regulatory restrictions, or force majeure.
11.2. In cases of force majeure, the magazine cannot be held responsible for delays or inability to publish.
11.3. Due to the nature of printing and distribution, minor technical variations in color, positioning, or format may occur. Such minor deviations do not affect the overall quality and do not constitute grounds for complaint.
12. Amendments to the Call and Terms
12.1. The magazine may amend the open call or these terms. Amendments become effective upon publication on the website. Applications submitted before the amendments will be processed under the terms valid at the time of submission.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
13.1. Data provided in the application are used solely for selection, communication, and publication purposes.
13.2. Personal data are processed in accordance with applicable regulations and our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1. These terms are governed by Swiss law.
14.2. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably. If no agreement is reached, the competent court in Switzerland shall have jurisdiction. Mediation may be conducted in Zurich, in English or German, under the applicable mediation rules.
15. Acceptance of Terms
15.1. By submitting the application, the author confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Participation for the print and digital issue.
15.2. These terms are effective as of October 27, 2025.
