Artists and Inspirations Behind Winter Wonders

The Winter Wonders exhibition brings together artists whose works capture the many dimensions of winter. From vast landscapes to delicate details, they reveal the season’s beauty in all its forms.

Andreas Starke (Andisixsixsix) documents the raw grandeur of nature through photography. His works Icy Land and New Year’s Beginning take viewers to remote locations, from the glaciers of Patagonia to mist-covered valleys in Austria.

Conny Anliker’s approach transforms winter scenes into poetic compositions. Her works White Whispers and Winter’s Reflection capture the quiet movement of light and shadow, offering a contemplative view of the season.

Marina Semenova, trained in Russia and France, brings a painter’s touch to winter landscapes. Her work The Breath of Winter conveys the changing atmosphere of the mountains through refined color and texture.

Oleksandra Korolenko uses airbrush techniques to create intricate details with precision. Her piece Festive Fir Elegance explores the structure and elegance of winter branches, blending realism with artistic interpretation.

Beatrice Sartori, known for her paper collages, merges nature and movement. In Perce-Neige, la ballerine des glaces, she reimagines a snowdrop as a delicate ballerina, blending botanical elements with the grace of dance.

Kazuhisa Oishi captures the fleeting beauty of Japanese winters. His photographs Snow and Setsubunsou and Wintersweet in the Morning Sun highlight the subtle interplay of light and seasonal transition.

Christina Dommer’s abstract landscapes focus on the shifting moods of nature. Bluebird in Corduroy conveys the movement of a winter scene while preserving a sense of stillness.

Jan Jirovec explores memory and space through artistic installations. His work Moonlight contrasts abandoned urban settings with the quiet vastness of winter, creating a layered visual dialogue.

Sneha Paul, an artist with Indian and French roots, expresses atmosphere and emotion through her landscapes. Her piece The Northern Light captures the luminous energy of the aurora borealis, inviting viewers into a world of color and reflection.

Each of these artists brings a unique perspective, offering a deeper look at winter’s presence in nature and imagination.
